Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms apply when you use Namaskara! at learnkannada.site. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

The service

Namaskara! teaches spoken Bengaluru Kannada through short lessons. Chapter 1 is open to everyone; the rest of the course needs a free account. We may add, change or remove lessons and features at any time, and we may pause or stop the service.

Your account

You sign in with Google through our sign-in provider, Clerk. Keep your Google account secure: you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your saved progress and your account at any time from your profile (see the Privacy Policy).

Hearts, gems, XP and streaks

Hearts, gems, XP, stars and streaks are part of the game. They have no monetary value, can’t be bought, sold or exchanged, and may be adjusted or reset — for example, if we change how the game works or fix a bug.

Fair use

Please don’t:

  • try to break, overload or get around the site’s security, including the sign-in that protects Chapters 2–12;
  • automate access to the lesson API (/api/) or copy the course in bulk;
  • use the site for anything unlawful.

Reading, linking to, quoting and indexing our public pages and blog is welcome.

Our content

The lessons, exercises, characters, artwork and articles on Namaskara! belong to us. You may use them for your own learning, and quote short passages with a link back. Don’t republish the course or substantial parts of it without permission.

Accuracy

We work hard to get the Kannada right, but language is varied and we can make mistakes. The course is for general learning, not professional translation; don’t rely on it where a mistake would matter (medical, legal or official situations).

No warranty, and limits on liability

Namaskara! is provided free, “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss of progress or data, arising from your use of the site.

Ending access

You can stop using Namaskara! at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
